Our Mission
When one of life’s basic ingredients only makes an appearance a few times each year, it’s wise to capture what you can and use it as responsibly as possible. The HydroCats Committee is part of a paradigm shift in Tucson’s approach to storm-water management and green infrastructure—an approach with universal applicability that can serve as a useful model in water-stressed regions around the world. HydroCats Committee mission is to train a team of students in the design, management, and installation of water harvesting systems in the greater Tucson community.

We will broaden the spectrum of water education, starting with the UA campus, and gradually expanding into the Tucson community. Working with Watershed Management Group, AZ Project WET, and the Arizona Water Festival, will be a central goal for the committee’s outreach.
