Our Mission
The mission of the Environmental Social Justice (EcoSoJo) Committee is to confront injustices at the intersection of environmentalism and social inequity. Through initiatives on the UA campus and in the greater Tucson community, we strive to engage students and collaborate with other like-minded organizations to implement change that addresses socially unjust impacts of climate on communities already marginalized by society.

The committee works to increase committee members’ confidence in taking initiative and taking action to bring together social justice and sustainability organizations on campus and within the community to highlight the necessity of environmental justice as strategy to achieve social justice.
