The Waste Reduction committee is an old section of Students for Sustainability that has been brought back again! Our goal as a committee is to implement positive change in regard to waste disposal and reuse throughout our campus and the greater Tucson community. Our committee will be closely working with Facilities Management and Waste Management in order to divert waste build up on campus. In addition, we will also be continuing to work at Greek Life’s philanthropy events to promote sustainable efforts throughout that sector of campus. Our committee will also be attempting to develop educational programs to help further inform students on campus about sustainability in order to show a better understanding of how our actions have global consequences.
